Course description & goals (final competences)
In today’s business, Internet and telecommunications help to solve specific problems related to the management of enterprises but also help to create new challenges for business organizations. The interchange of information through emailing, participation in email conferences becomes the common thing in business activity.
The work under new conditions of information technologies’ development has not only advantages, but also causes certain problems as well as new conflicts within an organization. The question arises – how to eliminate emerging problems in business organizations, how to control the personnel under new conditions, how to bring it together in the implementation of the common goals?
The use of information technologies has nowadays, in the context of worldwide globalization, become of major importance for those studying/involved in management science.

The course discusses the problem: how to establish and manage a virtual organization, what are the differences of management of a virtual enterprise and of a traditional enterprise, what about the typology of virtual organizations and the specifics of personnel management of virtual organizations.

In the course, definitions of virtual organization are presented, as well as the description of the virtual organization in scientific literature: its characteristics and features that are affecting the implementation management tasks of enterprise.

Personnel management questions generally are how to successfully join personnel in order to implement goals under new conditions and
how to motivate workers to perform their tasks in time. Possible personnel management models for virtual organizations will be discussed.

o The student will be able to understand the differences managing virtual enterprises and traditional enterprises.
o The student will be able to understand the specifics of personnel management of virtual organizations.
