For lecturers, RIBA aims at:

  • Boosting staff mobility as the project will allow a much more intensive collaboration of a larger group of lecturers in the area of internationalisation
  • Giving a chance of professional and intercultural growth to all those interested in teaching abroad and learning from the exchange of course material, teaching and assessment methods
  • Giving lecturers a chance of professional and intercultural growth by exchanging best practices
  • Giving lecturers a chance to improve their English skills
  • Raising their international business awareness by confronting them with aspects of business, management, economics and administration from a European perspective
  • Raising their international business awareness by confronting them with aspects of business, management, economics and administration from a local and country-specific (Belgian, Dutch, German, Lithuanian, Turkish, and Finnish) perspective
  • Bringing the lecturers into contact with various cultures and nationalities (from all RIBA partner institutions), showing them the importance and benefits of a multicultural society
  • Showing them the concrete aims, purpose and importance of the Bologna declaration and the Europeanisation of the higher education
