Arriving in Turkey
Getting around

Arriving in Turkey:

 Getting around:

As far as transportation is concerned, Izmir’s transportation system makes it unparalleled as a tourism venue. Transportation in the city offers a variety of means of public transportation such as taxis and dolmus, mini-buses, public buses and trams, as well as the subway of approximately 20 km.  A dolmus is similar to a shared taxi or minibus. The driver will transport passengers for a flat fare, and will either wait for the whole van to fill up before leaving, or will leave at a scheduled time.

The airport in Izmir is Adnan Menderes. The easiest way to go from and to Izmir is by Havas airport bus. (HAH-vahsh). The trip with the airbus takes about 50 to 60 minutes.
